Our approach

Strategic lines

LHF will work via two strategic lines, in close cooperation with its network of experts and in a network of partnerships:

• Top-down via policy development, law enforcement and public awareness on large herbivores in Eurasia;
• Bottom-up approach on ecosystems and species through the development of well connected, climate proof living landscapes, with plenty of room for the species. Large herbivores are prey for the large carnivores and a steering factor in the ecosystems.

How to become a special contact for ECNC-LHF?

If you would like to become a special contact for ECNC-LHF(expert, country contact, volunteer or ambassador), please don't hesitate to seek contact.

Networking is the key for cooperation and success

LHF was always focussed on its network as a real network organisation and will also be a network organisation in future, under the umbrella of ECNC. New in this figure is the difference between the experts and the to develop country contacts. LHF needs good representations in the different countries. That could be WWF-offices, but also other organisations that are active with good contacts in the various countries. Also new are the volunteers; hands-on volunteers and ambassadors. The ambassadors have good contacts with the so-called High Network Potentials, people that can make the difference in the activation of our network on higher levels.
