Organizational aspects

Partners in the developing and publishing process

  • Cooperation is in developemt with ECNC-Tilburg and IUCN-Brussels
  • LHF is looking for partners in the whole process from the identificatuion phase to the publishing process. If you're interested in cooperation, please let us know.

Time schedule

  • The status of all species will become reviewed by the beginning 2010.
  • The description of the first group of species might become published spring 2010. By the end of 2010 for all species the descriptions will become available, but in a continuous process.
  • For this, we will make use of the power of internet: the whole "knowledge container" will permanently grow on internet and made open for discussion between all kind of experts.
  • Therefore the materials can already be used at an early stage and will be challenging for improvement and completeness.

Illustrations

  • Develop early a strategy about the illustrations needed (photos, drawings)
  • Make an inventory of photos needed, in discussion with WNF, WWF and IUCN
  • Find out what kind of photos are already available and whether the quality is good enough for publication (differs per product, that has to be made)
  • Make an inventory what kind of drawings, paintings are necessary
  • Find out who could make such pictures
  • Find out what the conditions are of the photographers and artists
  • Try to make a deal about publishing rights to avoid risks tand develop partnerships throughout the process

 Project portfolio

  • Make an inventory of all kind of possible projects
  • Develop a project portfolio with challenging topics
  • Develop a communication strategy to market the projects from the portfolio
  • Activity agenda - strategy
  • What kind of products can be developed with the materials when they are completed (or more than half-way)?
  • What kind of publicity can be developed, based on the produced products?
